How it Works

Community acupuncture is simple, approachable, and designed to feel comfortable even if it’s your first time trying acupuncture.

Here’s what to expect:

Before Your Appointment 

• You’ll receive a short intake form — please fill it out as thoroughly as possible so we can prepare ahead.
• Booking opens one week at a time, with a waitlist for following weeks.

When You Arrive

• You’ll be greeted by whoever is working that evening.
• You can choose any available chair.
• Keep your shoes on or off — whatever is comfortable.
• Wear loose clothing that lets us access below the knees or elbows.

During Treatment 

• We use very gentle points on the hands, feet, legs, ears, or scalp.
• You’ll rest in your chair for 30–45 minutes.
• The space is quiet, communal, and relaxed.
• You’re welcome to bring a book, headphones, or blanket.

Who Will Treat You

Treatments are provided by whichever registered acupuncturist is available that week.

Your chart and notes follow proper standards so continuity of care is maintained.
